Contents of Donor Home Delivery

Donor Instructions
- upon the arrival of Donor Home
Delivery store the Test Yolk Buffer and U-Tek gel
cold pack in the freezer
- save the box and all packing
materials for shipping to the Recipient
- leave the syringe in the packaging - you will not need it
- abstain from ejaculation for 3-5 days prior to the
Recipient's ovulation
- When the Recipient calls:
- thaw the Test Yolk Buffer and let it come to room
temperature
- ejaculate into a small CLEAN, DRY glass container
- add in all the Test Yolk Buffer, and let it sit for 20
minutes
- WARNING: only add the Test Yolk
Buffer if it is fully thawed at room temperature

Warning: Do not use the Test Yolk Buffer if it is passed
the expiration date on the label
- pour the mixture into the 15 cc tube, be sure to tighten cap so it
does not leak
- put the tube into the zip lock plastic bag and seal
- put plastic bag with tube in it and 5 cc syringe
(unused) between
the gray spongy foam pads
- put gray spongy foam pads in the Styrofoam packing
- put the U-Tek gel cold pack on
top of the gray spongy foam pads, inside the
Styrofoam packing
- put foam packing in the cardboard sleeve
- ship to the recipient for overnight delivery
Recipient Instructions
- insemination should take place upon arrival of Donor Home
Delivery
- if immediate insemination is not possible, store the test
tube in the refrigerator for insemination later that SAME day. Do not
store in the freezer.
- empty the contents of 15 cc tube (semen and preservative) into small CLEAN,
DRY, shallow glass container
- draw up the yellow mixture with the 5 cc syringe
- lay down and insert the 5 cc syringe into the vagina
- deposit contents into the vagina
- WARNING: DO NOT try to put the semen and preservative
into you uterus. Donor Home Delivery is for a vaginal insemination ONLY. Intrauterine
inseminations (IUI) should be done by appropriately licensed and trained health
professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives).
- remain lying down for at least one hour
Donor Home Delivery does not prevent
the transmission of disease.
